In January, we opened a new international remittance corridor: India. 🇮🇳
BigPay users can now send money directly from their app to Indian bank accounts. We believe you deserve more: banks charge up to 11% and other remittance players up to 20% — depending on amounts and where you transfer to. 😱
Nobody should have to pay high fees for something so important, especially at a time when many are forced to cancel travel plans and stay away from their families. We want to make sure that you save as much money as possible where you should, and give your family all the support they deserve.
This is why we keep our fees low, our exchange rates great, and our standards high.
If you're not a BigPay user yet, read on!
If you already have BigPay but haven't sent money to India yet, skip to part 2.

First, you need to get yourself a BigPay card. It's easy and completely free. 🤩
Download the BigPay app. If you’re on your phone, click on one of these buttons:
Otherwise, just search for “BigPay” on either the App Store or on Google Play.
Once you’ve downloaded the app, you can complete your sign up in 3 simple steps.
We’ll ask you to send us a picture of your Identity Card (IC) or passport and a selfie. This is for security purposes, as we need to make sure you are who you say you are.
Add RM20 to your account
Adding RM20 to your account helps you activate your card. This is not a fee! As soon as you get the BigPay card, you can spend that money. It's all yours.
Activate your card
You'll receive the card to your provided address within 3 to 5 working days. Once you have it, open your app and key in the CVC code that’s at the back of your card.
That’s it! 🤩
Feeling unsure about giving your personal details? We’d like to reassure you: we’re officially licensed and regulated by the Central Bank. We take your privacy very seriously.
2. How to send money to India for free?
Once you’ve activated your card, click on the PAYMENTS tab in your BigPay app.
