Dear bank, it's not you. It's me.

When I first met you, you were full of promises. You whispered magical words in my ears: savings, credit cards, online banking. It all seemed so simple and hassle-free. Nothing short from hakuna matata.

But I remember exactly the moment when puppy love started to fade. I traveled abroad to visit my relatives and I nicely proposed to use my card to pay for the family dinner. That was my mistake.

I should've known. People warned me. But still, I wasn’t prepared…

Your fees. The bill should have been RM850. But you charged me RM50 on top of that just to process the exchange rate. Why, Bank? I didn’t ask you to be as good as the Mid Valley guy, but I trusted you.

When I’m in a committed relationship, I’m all about sharing. And you know me: I’m very supportive. I wouldn’t mind contributing to your growth if only… you had been a bit more transparent from the start.

Now, I don’t know what to do anymore. And I’m not going to lie, I’ve been “looking at the menu”. All my friends have been telling me about this “BigPay” - but I couldn’t bring myself to act, afraid you’d go into my phone.

I tried talking to you… but you made me wait one hour. It’s too much. I can’t take it.

Dear Bank, the reason why I’m writing to you today is to tell you…
