BigPay Addresses Case of Miss Michelle Law
KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, 26 JUNE 2025 – BigPay Malaysia Sdn Bhd wishes to address the matter currently circulating with regards to Miss Michelle Law.
We have contacted Miss Michelle as recently as 25th of June and Miss Michelle has yet to respond to us via our dedicated channels, however, we want to share and confirm that this matter is now resolved on our end after extensive review of her account and transactions.
Once Miss Michelle refunded the funds after the affected transaction, her account was regularised. BigPay has also been in full cooperation with the regulators while investigating this matter. We have taken the necessary steps following the investigation to confirm that the actions taken against the customer’s account were in line with account safety requirements put in place to guard and/or mitigate potential fraudulent transactions and activity.
This case represents a rare case that does not reflect the experience of the vast majority of our users, for whom these safeguards function effectively and as intended. While it is unfortunate this occurred, we want to reassure our customers that such instances are uncommon.

BigPay is continuously committed to the safety and security of customers accounts as we have various security measures and counter-measures in place to address and/or mitigate new and emerging digital security threats. As we do this, we will continue to review and refine our own processes, and work alongside regulators and the industry, to continuously manage our customers' welfare.
