Introducing in-app authentication to keep your account safe 🔒

Hey BigPay fam, 

Some changes are coming your way to ensure your account is always safe and secure!  

What is in-app authentication? 

It’s a safer and quicker way to approve your transactions securely from within the BigPay app, as transactions performed can only be authorised on your registered device. 

It’s much more convenient than SMS OTPs! 

What does it look like? 

When you’ve performed a transaction, you will be asked to review your transaction details through a pop-up on the BigPay app. 

If you recognise the transaction and want to allow it, simply tap the “Authorise” button. That’s it!

How do I pair my device for in-app authentication? 

The pairing is automatically completed when you’ve successfully logged into your BigPay account on the device. 

There’s no extra step needed to manually pair your device. Yay! 

Only one device can be paired for in-app authentication at a time, so do not log in to your account on other people’s devices to protect your account’s security!

Which transactions require in-app authentication? 

As part of our continuous effort to keep you safe, most of your online transactions can no longer be authorised via SMS OTP. 

In-app authentication will be used as a safer and convenient way for YOU to authorise your transactions, directly from the BigPay app. 🤗
